Putting the Spotlight Where It Belongs

Unna Nordic entered the competitive clean-beauty market with a strong belief in Nordic purity, minimalism, and effectiveness. The category was crowded with similar visual language, muted palettes, botanical symbolism, and interchangeable sustainability claims.

The challenge was to create a distinctive Nordic cosmetics brand that felt refined rather than rustic, modern rather than cold, and premium without excess, while maintaining consistency across strategy, identity, and packaging.

Insight / Concept

Our research revealed a core tension within the category. Many Nordic beauty brands focus heavily on nature but rarely communicate intention, precision, or emotional warmth.

This led to the defining insight and brand concept of quiet confidence.

Unna Nordic would not overexplain purity or performance. Instead, the brand would express its values through restraint, clarity, and design discipline. Calm, intention, and balance became the emotional foundation of the brand, echoing the Nordic landscape itself.

Concept & Execution

The strategy was translated into a unified brand across every touchpoint.

The Brand clarified Unna Nordic’s positioning, tone of voice, and value proposition, balancing scientific credibility with softness and approachability.

The visual identity system was minimal yet expressive, built on strong typography, controlled contrast, and a restrained Nordic color palette designed to feel confident without excess.

Packaging design focused on clean structures, tactile materials, and generous negative space. Every element was intentional, reinforcing quality and sustainability without relying on common clean-beauty clichés.

Results

Unna Nordic launched with a clear, confident presence in the modern Nordic cosmetics market.

The brand achieved strong differentiation in a crowded category, elevated perceived value through design restraint, and delivered a cohesive experience from strategy to shelf.

Unna Nordic now stands as a calm yet distinctive voice in clean beauty, proving that clarity, when executed with intention, is a powerful form of luxury.
